This snack mix filled with rice cereal, pretzels, and nuts is a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. It’s completely addicting and perfect for munching!

Sweet and Spicy Snack Mix

Yield: 8 cups


  • 5 cups corn or rice cereal, or a mixture
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 2 cups bagel chips
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup unsalted almonds
  • 1 cup unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2-4 tablespoons hot sauce, per your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt


  1. Preheat oven to 250°F.
  2. Combine the cereal, pretzels, bagel chips, peanuts, almonds and cashews on a large sheet pan.
  3. In a small saucepan set over medium heat, add butter, worcestershire sauce, honey or maple syrup, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  4. Heat until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour over the cereal mixture and stir to make sure everything is coated evenly.
  6. Bake in the oven for about an hour and a half until snack mix is golden and crisp, stirring every 20 minutes or so.
  7. Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to several weeks.
