Easy Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- ½ cup unsalted butter, chilled
- ½ cup finely grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- Freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Boil fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Reserve 2 cups of pasta water. Drain pasta and set aside.Step 2
Add 1 cup of reserved pasta water to a large skillet over medium-low heat. Bring to a gentle simmer.Step 3
Whisk in butter one tablespoon at a time, allowing it to completely melt.Step 4
Once butter has been fully incorporated, gradually add grated cheese while whisking constantly. Make sure cheese is fully incorporated before adding more.Step 5
