How To Thaw Frozen Butter

Frozen butter will thaw in about 6-7 hours once placed in the refrigerator, or you can submerge it in a sealed plastic bag in cold water. This method will thaw frozen butter within an hour!

Short on time? Thaw butter quickly by defrosting it in the microwave for 10-second increments at low power until it's just softened, flipping it periodically for an even thaw. You can also grate frozen butter using a cheese grater to thaw it quickly for immediate use.
