Brownie Berry Trifles

Ingredients

For the Brownies:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped (or use chips)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

For the Trifles:
- 6 ounces fresh blueberries
- 6 ounces fresh raspberries
- 6 ounces fresh strawberries, sliced
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
For the Brownies:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 9x13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.Step 2
In saucepan set over low heat, melt butter and chocolate. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add sugar and salt. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Stir in vanilla extract. Add flour and stir until just combined.Step 3
Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake until edges are set, about 30-35 minutes. Let cool completely.For the Trifles:

Toss the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries with 2 tablespoons of the sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.Step 5
In large bowl, beat heavy whipping cream with an electric mixer to soft peaks. Add vanilla and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and continue beating to medium peaks.Step 6
