Get Started
Step One: Make a Compound Butter
Combine softened butter and your desired seasoning in a bowl. Our favorite combinations? Butter and parsley for steak or butter and cinnamon for grilled fruit. Learn how to make compound butter here.Step Two: Begin to Create Mold
Once your butter and desired seasoning are combined, use a spatula or brush to put the mixture into silicone molds. When finished, place into the freezer for 15-30 minutes to chill. Tip: We used medium-sized molds, which you can purchase here. If you don’t have molds, you can also use an ice cube tray.Step Three: Add Filling
When your molds have set, carefully pop them out and fill with complementary toppings. Making something savory? Consider adding blue cheese and bacon bits! Looking for something sweeter? Add strawberries.Step Four: Combine Mold Spheres & Refrigerate
Next, take one half of the sphere and place it on the other that holds the filling. Use your thumb or finger to seal them together so there’s no gap between the two halves. Place the combined spheres onto a plate and refrigerate until ready to use.Step Five: Melt & Watch the Magic Happen
When ready to serve, place them over warm food, melt and enjoy!Stephen Maddox on Innovation and Leadership
